H. J. Dynes To Be Associated With C. B, Gehring In ‘Pennsylvania’ Project

The passing of an old landmark yesterday was seen in the announcement that the Holland hotel on the lake front at the foot of Evernia street, is soon to be replaced by an $800,000 ten-story hotel, to be known as the Pennsylvania. The present structure, typical of Florida in its early stages, is to be entirely torn down and replaced with a building in keeping with the present trend of Spanish architecture.

Henry J. Dynes, present owner of the Holland, is associated in this new project with Charles ¥. Gehring, A New York and Atlantic City hotel man. Mr. Gehring is owner and editor of the Hotel Review, the most widely known magazine of its kind, and president of the Ritz Hotel company of Atlantic City. Mr. Dynes, in turn, has had 25 years experience in conducting hotels in Atlantic City, Milford, Pa., Fort Pierce and West Palm Beach.

Harvey and Clarke are the architects for the new building according to the plan as outlined. Iit will be 10 stories high, facing Lake Worth.
