The Smith-Lampp Cemetery is located on lands originally owned by William Daniel Smith- an early settler. He designated the cemetery plot as a
final resting place for him and his wife and children and their children.
He also had a number of slaves at the time and he reserved a place in his family cemetery as a burial plot for the slaves and their children. There are no markers for the slaves but their graves lie in the corner inside the family cemetery.
The cemetery is located in the Mount Olive Section. Take Highway 15
South to the Mount Olive Road and turn right. Just before you get to
Mount Olive Church turn left on a dirt road. On the curve of the road
is the old Jud Lammp house.
